Great night of track events! Tonight was Long night with 5 events, I participated in three:
Mile: 6:44 (my time for the 2nd heat--I did the mile twice)
200: 34.1sec
5000: 23:05
I contemplated doing the 800, but I really should still be thinking "recovery mode" from Grandma's marathon, next time I'll do it. I'd still rather run 10 miles (or more) than run a 200, 400 or even 800!! These short distances just aren't my thing, it's so hard to get into a comfortable groove and figure out your pace. The 5000 distance is better, 12 1/2 laps around the big blue track is more to my liking and it gives me a chance to feel a rhythm.
At least I know I'll sleep well tonight!
