Chicken kabobs, sirloin and salmon all on the grill. Potatoes in the oven. Asparagus ready to be grilled. Homemade gluten free bread in the bread machine. Fresh gluten-free chocolate cupcakes for after dinner. I'm so hungry I can hardly wait....I keep flipping the chicken willing it to be cooked enough. My house is chaos. My baby is running back and forth, jumping onto the sofa, opening cabinet doors and pulling everything out, clanging pans, dribbling the nerf soccer ball all around the table, all because he knows he doesn't have my attention, I'm busy with the grill. But, this is typical 5pm madness over here. It's all good.
Now that the baby's strapped in his high chair with his clementines and strawberries, I can think straight.
Today's 6 mile tempo run ended up being a 3 mile recovery run, and I was utterly happy with that. Those three miles were golden today, just felt good to run care-free. Run followed by a workout at AE with the best trainer ever, perfect way to finish the morning.
Friday is a day off---sweet!!
Saturday, supposed to be a 5K race followed by another 7 miles, but looks like I'll just have to run 10-12 at home.
9 days till race day!!! So far, predicting weather to be low of 55, high of 61 with chance of light showers. Perfect!
