Yesterday was my first day back since the marathon and I put in two miles on the dreaded treadmill. I can't believe how great my body felt, almost too good. Today, I met up with the treadmill once again and managed a 4 mile run before hitting the weights. I wasn't sure how much time I'd have since Mateo was screaming when I put him in the child care room, but luckily some kids distracted him and I was able to get in an hour workout plus a shower! Amazing!
Tonight was track night at UNC. Love track night. Again, not sure if I should be running this much this soon, but since my daughter wanted to go with me, I couldn't pass it up. Love, love, love running this late at night, there's something so peaceful about it. It's the only time I can handle running without my iPod, and not go crazy.
So, tonight...4 days after this marathon...
1500--6:20
400- 1:16 (PR)
3K-- 13:30
The schedule is set for the next two Fall marathons, Twin Cities marathon (10/02) and Richmond marathon (11/12). I sat down and sketched out the 20 week plan to include both marathons (and a half on 10/16).
