Well, the month of January has come and gone. Running total for the month of January was 150 miles! Despite these past few difficult days, I've been able to keep on track much better than last week. I have no idea if anyone saw me crying while spinning at Kinetix yesterday, but at least I got the workout in. 30 min bike/cry session, then 2 miles on the treadmill. Boring as all get out. The tears came and went all day, the tension headache lasted through this morning, but the running helps with coping.
This morning's track workout with Jamie was perfect. She's like the rabbit on the track and I'm the greyhound chasing after her. It's been great to coordinate our schedules lately so these workouts aren't such a struggle. My times are even creeping up, slowly getting faster and feeling stronger each week. Today was 6 x 800's with a one mile warm up and cool down. Today the 800's were between 3:17-3:22, a slight improvement from last week.
It's looking like I might need to get my long run done on Sunday instead of Monday....that makes this a 50 mile week instead of a 37 mile week, so still contemplating. 18 mile long run this weekend but my dad will be in town so i'm thinking he'll bike it with me. :)
Countdown:
45 days to Tobacco Road
74 days to Boston Marathon
