Week One

I keep attempting to finish my training schedule calendar, but every time I sit down to work on it, I can't seem to figure out what to write. I've never had this much trouble coming up with a training plan, it's frustrating me to pieces! I think the problem is that I really don't need to start training until mid Dec., but it's not like I can take off from running until then either. So I'm finding myself wandering in this "no man's land" when I'm a scheduler/type A kind of person. Last week needed to be a recovery week so that was easy, but this is get back in the saddle week and I'm not sure what to do with it!

I will say the weight training has been incredibly beneficial and I'm very thankful that I've been able to add that to my routine. I've been sore for two weeks straight, but that just means that I'm finally using muscles that have nearly deteriorated. Forgot I had some of these muscles!

In the past week, I've found a few people or groups of people that I can run with (all faster paces than me!) Today was a three mile run on the Duke trail. Tuesday will hopefully be a 5-6 mile run. Wed should be a track workout, but I have the chance to run with a friend, so we'll see. Other than that, I'm not sure what I'm doing....
