Apex

With the baby off from school for half the week, it made getting out to run a little more challenging.  So on Friday, the baby and I headed to his "grandparents" house to spend a little quality time and so I could sneak in a longer run.  The original plan was to run on the south end of the ATT while clenching my pepper spray in one hand, water bottle in the other, but after the 30 minute drive to papa's house, I felt more like heading back to bed than anything else.  I scoped out a couple of streets before heading up the driveway and low and behold, APEX HAS SIDEWALKS!!!  What an amazing concept!  Yes, you can run for miles without fearing your life!  Sucks that Durham can't quite get that...I won't get started....

So, a fabulous run on the beautiful sidewalks of Apex was the new plan.  There were even a couple of small man-made ponds that had gorgeous bike paths around them, so I hit every one of those too.  The hills were large but it didn't matter, I had sidewalks!!  Made me want to sell my house and move, seriously.

Today is an off day, tomorrow, a 5K race.  Haven't done a 5K since....maybe last spring?  Should be fun. :)
