sprints

Today's workout:  (WA Duke hilly terrain)
3 mile loop at fairly easy pace
3 mile at MP
7 x 100 sprints at 6:30 pace
cool down

Tough, but great...just great.  Love the feeling of returning, getting it back, accomplishment.

Thursday--day off!!  1 hr of massage therapy.

Friday--Strength endurance:  6.2 mile with 4 x 2 min. hill repeats

Saturday--off

Sunday-- 15 mile run (9 miles at MP)

Weird that Morven and I didn't see you yesterday on the trail/track. We did 12 miles between the trail, track, and Duke gardens... must have just missed you. You are free to ride with us on Saturday morning if you want to We will be running 5 miles after the 48 miles on the bike.

That's funny, I didn't know you guys were out there! I would have joined you all. I started around 8:30, did my sprints over by the bridge/gravel pkg lot area before the big hill.

Hey, I just bought my first real pair of road biking shoes!! Finally, I've been wearing size 41 shoes (that I was given for free about 4 yrs ago) and today I bought a pair of size 39's. Big difference! Super excited, just attached my clips and I'm all set!

Don't think I could keep up with you guys, or even manage, a 48 mile bike ride--even though I'd love to give it a try. Where/when do you think you'll be running? I'm going to take a 4.0 tennis drill from 9:30-11 at Hollow Rock. I might also try to ride my bike on the ATT before that, at least to see how it goes. :)

An ex-police officer gave me a can of Mace today! There have been some incidents out on the ATT this past week and I was telling him that I always run alone out there, so he gave me a can! I feel so empowered now. :)

I'll try out my bike this weekend and see how far I can actually go, then I'll feel more confident about riding with you guys. :) I'd love some pointers!!
