New focus for sure...

Last week, 52 mile week, was long and hard.  Made a few mistakes along the way...ate WAY too many peanut M&M's (because I have no self-control), drank way too many Coke's (again, no self-control), and didn't put in as much time in the gym.  Tobacco Road marathon is just 4 weeks away!  What??!!  I thought I still had months to work out....now it's just weeks away.  Now that Boston has changed up both their registration and qualification times, I feel the need to work harder, get faster, focus.

Focus.....Focus.....Focus....

This week's long run will be 24 miles.  Total miles this week= 54.  Last long week before the 3 week taper.  It's time to push, focus, work hard.  There's still time to do this.  Tuesday will be 10 x 800's at the track, daunting but doable.  No M&M's this week, promise.  Don't know if I can go without Coke, but I'll at least go down to just one per day. :)   Weight lifting?  Yes, will fit it in (even thought I still can't lift my arms up over my head from Friday's workout).  This is it.  Give it all, succeed, see what the body can do.  "Last chance workout."

Today, 10 mile run on some hilly streets, work on the hams and quads.  Tonight, 15 min ride on the bike followed by shoulders/arms.
