Walking through Sam's club yesterday, I stumbled upon the workout DVD section and started browsing. I've been doing the P90X workouts off and on for a year (more off than on) but thought maybe I needed something new. I'd MUCH rather workout at Active Edge doing some type of circuit training that reminds me way too much of college day workout sessions, but it kicks my butt more than any other workout. Since I'm not made of money, I thought I'd buy a simple DVD and give it a try.
Billy Blanks Taebo Insane ABS and Jillian's 6 week to stronger ABS workouts! Billy's workout got my heart pumping quite hard, but didn't quite feel the abs burning. So after the 45 min session, I did the Tony Horton abs workout for 20 min. and felt much better. Will try Jillian's workout tonight and see how that feels.
Today is carbo-loading Wednesday! Preparing the body for the 24 mile run Thursday morning!! Can't believe this is the last long, long run before race day--it's finally here. Making whole wheat pasta as I type, not that I'd like to eat it, but will do so anyway. Need a change from the brown rice. Funny thing, all I've been craving is junk food for about 2 weeks! I find myself skipping meals and not realizing it, then grazing on junk and not hungry enough to eat a real meal. Don't know what that's about... Can't blame it on the anemia, just got my results back yesterday! Hanging in at 11.9, ferritin now dropped to 12, but it's still there! Next check is March 22.
